Monarch Healthcare kicks off it’s sponsorship for the Barlborough Blue Eagles
Last month, Monarch Healthcare was happy to agree to sponsor the Barlborough Blue Eagles Under 11’s football team. The team is local to Autumn Grange Care Home, one of our care homes in Chesterfield. Monarch Healthcare understands the importance of Grassroots Football and wants to do all that it can to encourage teams local to us. It has been a real privilege to outfit the Barlborough Blue Eagles Under 11’s with their kit and we will all be cheering them on as they compete for this season’s top spot!
Spooky Season with Monarch Healthcare
At Monarch Healthcare, we do everything we can to make seasonal holidays as joyful as possible for our residents and Halloween is no exception! Lord Mayor Visits Clifton Manor
Recently, following the sad passing of HM Elizabeth II, the lord mayor of Nottingham, Wendy Smith, paid a visit to our very own Clifton Manor Nursing Home to sign the official book of condolence for The Queen. We see this as a very high honour and are proud that Wendy Smith chose our home to visit. Below, you can see some of the pictures from the day, including one of our residents meeting the Lord Mayor. The resident in question received a letter of congratulations from the queen on her 100’th birthday!
We are so proud to have been chosen for the visit, especially considering the magnitude of the event and what it symbolises.
Monarch In Bloom – 2022
Over summer we held the annual Monarch In Bloom garden competition. This competition is held every year and all our homes give it their all into making their gardens look as beautiful as possible. It was a hard decision, but we have decided that this year we need to have two winners: –
The pictures below show the high standard of design from all our homes despite the extreme weather the country had endured which makes it all the more impressive considering the obstacles that have been faced. Designing the gardens and caring for the plants is not just for our competition, it is to encourage our staff and residents to be able to go somewhere beautiful and calming and be able to enjoy the outside space that our homes have, no matter what size the area is.
We cannot wait for next year and hope you can’t either, whether it is beautiful flowers being planted or maybe a pot filled with wildflowers for the bees (and maybe even a Monarch butterfly!).
Our thanks go out to everybody for all their hard work and commitment to making Monarch In Bloom the fantastic display that it has become.

Monarch Healthcare Awards Night – 2022
This summer, after a stressful 2 years, Monarch Healthcare was delighted to be able to host our annual Awards Night. This year was Hawaiian themed, as we’re sure you can guess from the pictures! We danced, we drank, we ate, and most importantly of all, we did it all together!
After an amazing three course meal, our partygoers were treated to a fantastic display by our entertainers, alongside the main event of the evening which was of course to celebrate our amazing staff across the company! As you can see in the slider below, it is clear that everyone had an absolutely amazing time and we would like to thank the East Midlands Conference Centre for hosting us on the evening and our directors, for organising such a great evening. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our staff yet again for all of their work and commitment, especially over the last few challenging years.
So take a look through the photos and see if you can spot yourself or your team (did you dare to limbo?)! It will be exciting to see what our next theme will be, if you have any suggestions then we would be glad to hear them!
Jubilee Parties in Full Swing
Our platinum Jubilee parties are in full swing. Residents in all 13 homes have had an amazing time over the celebrations, enjoying activities from watching the Trooping of the Colour, playing games and dancing. It’s been fantastic to see all our residents having such a great weekend in this once in a lifetime occasion.
Our Homes Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in Style…
Last weekend, homes across the country have been celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee, ours are no exception. From Heeley Bank to Clifton Manor we have all been celebrating the Queens Jubilee. We’ve had everything from tea parties to trifle making and we are so happy that all of our residents have enjoyed themselves thoroughly. As you can see below, our staff have really gone all out for the party preparations and we couldn’t be prouder of them!
