Ferndene Care Home is a purpose built nursing and residential home, providing care and nursing support to older people and people living with dementia. The home is based within the residential area of Gainsborough DN21, and is commutable from areas including Retford, Doncaster and Lincoln.

Hours: This is a full-time position which will comprise of supernumerary hours and a minimum of 1 nursing shift per week, alongside a share of on call duties.

We are looking to speak with individuals who have proven experience of leading a nursing home team. The role will require a Nurse qualified Manager who is used to working with comprehensive governance processes and who is passionate and will actively work with and support the team and visiting professionals, to make a difference.

As a Clinical Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the running of the nursing home, working alongside the Registered Manager. This will include but is not limited to, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed, budgets are maintained, and all regulatory requirements are adhered to within defined timescales. We will look to you to lead the team, providing support whilst ensuring the delivery of quality care is maintained through assessment, guidance and supervision.

Required: Driving licence and use of a vehicle

Senior Care Assistant/Nurse Support (Nights) – Clowne S43

Monarch Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant/Nurse Support (Nights) to join our team at Haddon House, based in Clowne, S43.

As a Senior Care Assistant/Nurse support at Monarch Healthcare, you will oversee care delivery, supporting the care and nursing team by allocating tasks and ensuring high standards of care at all times.

Required: NVQ Level 3

We are able to consider applications for part time or full-time hours. We work on a rota basis which will include alternate weekends and some bank holidays. The hourly rate is up to £12.50, depending on experience and qualifications.

Shift times: 19:45-08:00

Main Duties: This is not an exhaustive list.

  • Allocate staff to ensure an effective skill mix
  • Oversee the diary for each shift, communicating with external healthcare professionals as required, whist supporting the Registered Nurse to update and write risk assessments and care plans, ensuring staff are aware of any changes
  • Maintain communication between visitors and nurses
  • Manage medications, enquiring with the pharmacy, GP’s and mental health team as needed
  • Deliver personal care as appropriate to clients’ needs
  • Assist the care staff with personal care, fluid and dietary intake, pressure area relief and checks. Provide care leadership to ensure high standards of care delivery at all times
  • Complete checks for all relevant documentation ensuring all information is recorded
  • Communicate with the nurses regularly throughout the shift
  • Produce verbal and written reports as required

Registered Nurse – Temporary or Bank Days – Gainsborough

Ferndene is a purpose-built home, located in the residential area of Gainsborough, DN21. The home provides care and nursing support to older people and people living with dementia. We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse that would like to join our supportive and committed team, who work together to ensure the highest levels of care at all times.

Hours: We have 2 positions available. One position is for full time days, temporary, due to maternity cover. We are also able to accept applications for bank shifts.

Shift times: 07:45-20:00

As a Registered Nurse at Monarch Healthcare, your days will be varied and will include:

  • The formulation of person-centred care plans – Reviewing and updating of care plans to reflect client need, ensuring Care Plans are completed and maintained in consultation with Clients, Relatives and other Health Care Professionals, and in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy.
  • Administration of medication – Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company’s procedure and NMC guidelines.
  • Monitoring of resident well-being – Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
  • Supervision of the care team when acting as the nurse in charge, ensure a clear and concise handover report is given to all relevant Staff Members at the end of each shift.
  • Liaise with Healthcare professionals

Health and Social Care Trainer

Monarch Healthcare are recruiting for a Learning and Development Trainer to join our team.

As a Learning and Development Trainer at Monarch Healthcare, you will support Home Managers to coordinate training needs, whilst ensuring staff members complete relevant training within the required timeframes. You will deliver training, maintain competency assessments and provide support to employees during the completion of the care certificate.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, however we are looking for someone who can be flexible with regards to working hours, as the position may require work outside of the agreed times to meet business needs, and can include weekends. The rate of pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Required:

  • Driving license and access to a vehicle
  • NVQ 3 or above
  • Senior Care or Team leader experience

The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support home managers with staff training and development needs, ensuring training meets the required completion rate
  • Coordinate and facilitate the learning and development of all staff
  • Deliver training
  • Conduct observations and supervisions to advise staff teams accordingly and identify further training needs
  • Support employees during the completion of the care certificate, reporting progress to the Home Manager on each visit
  • Manage a schedule of work and report this monthly to the Training Manager
  • Prepare reports for the training manager as required
  • Contribute to new staff inductions as requested
  • Attend training meetings to discuss progress and needs
  • Provide feedback to the Management team as required
