Maintenance – Poplars Nursing Home

Monarch Healthcare are recruiting for a Maintenance Worker to join our team at Poplars Nursing Home. The role will include completing day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure the Care Centre is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, however, due to the nature of the role, work outside of these hours may be required alongside on call duties, therefore we are looking for someone with flexibility to shift times.

Required: Driving licence and use of a car.

The main duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry out repairs and decoration to the home as required. Ensure the maintenance of the care homes exterior.
  • Ensure any known defects to appliances, furniture, equipment, and other potential hazards are reported to the Manager and actioned as required.
  • Monitor the fire panel daily, reporting any faults showing whilst testing the fire system on a weekly basis, recording in the fire log.
  • Ensure all fire exits remain tidy and free from clutter, and complete visual checks of all fire safety equipment, as specified in the company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with and support visiting contractors and deliveries.
  • Ensure all ventilation units and lights are kept clean and well maintained, test all appliances and equipment as required.
  • High cleaning of cooker hood, extractor fans, light fittings, carpets, windows as required.
  • Test and record water temperatures on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure all products are stored correctly and in line with regulations.

Learning and Development Trainer – Rutland Manor, Poplars Nursing Home and Croft Care Home

Monarch Healthcare are recruiting for a Learning and Development Trainer to work across our homes; Rutland Manor, Poplars Nursing Home and Croft Care Home.

As a Learning and Development Trainer at Monarch Healthcare, you will be support Home Managers to coordinate training needs, whilst ensuring staff members complete relevant training within the required timeframes. You will deliver training, maintain competency assessments and provide support to employees during the completion of the care certificate.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, however we are looking for someone who can be flexible with regards to working hours, as the position may require work outside of the agreed times to meet business needs, and can include weekends. The successful candidate will need to be able to self-manage and work holistically at a fast pace, prioritising and managing their workload whilst working in a professional manner.

  • Full Driving Licence and use of a car – able to transport equipment safely

As a Senior Care Assistant at Monarch Healthcare, you will support with the delivery of quality care, ensuring the highest levels of care are always maintained. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

Rate of pay and hours: We offer a rate of pay above national minimum wage including increments for NVQ 2 and 3. You would be required to work on a rota basis, including some weekends and bank holidays.
