Kingfisher Court displays a strong influence for reminiscence, where residents, visitors and staff gather to chat about the ‘good old days’. A conservatory and terrace overlooking the lake provide a lovely area for barbeques and garden parties, and for residents to sit on sunny mornings watching and listening to the wildlife of birds, ducks and geese that live on or around the lake.

Our sensory garden provides for hours of relaxation and is an ongoing project incorporating an aviary,  pets corner, log cabin and seating under fragrant climbing plants. People living within Kingfisher Court have been involved throughout the project and with help from ‘Friends of Kingfisher Court’.

Monthly resident meetings are held, where we discuss forthcoming outings, activities, themed events, entertainers and our environment. The enthusiastic activities co-ordinator plans a social programme to include and expand on these suggestions and incorporates one to one and group time every day.
