Ferndene VE Day
Well we didn’t have our street party and entertainment as planned due to the shielding and lockdown but we have had a super day .
Some of our residents did the minutes silence along with VE themed puzzles and games . We have played wartime songs throughout the home and some of our residents have danced .
The residents had a beautiful lamb dinner and sherry trifle for dinner! We had a sweet and cake trolley with buffet tea and home made lemonade for tea .
We plan to have our street party in August all being well! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this a lovely celebration!
Our lovely residents and staff have been enjoying a visit from the local ice cream van to help keep them cool in this glorious weather! 🍦
