The staff at Woodlands have been doing their upmost to keep our residents days filled with purpose and engagement this summer, despite the difficult restrictions and isolation the Covid- 19 precautions have bought into place.
During the summer we’ve celebrated a big 90th Birthday, the lucky lady enjoyed a delicious cream tea celebration. Many happy returns from us!
We have made the most of the warm weather and fresh air and tried to get out in the garden as often as we could, residents have enjoyed relaxing in the garden and having involvement in the summer planting by choosing flowers and preparing planters to bring colour to the garden.
Puzzles and games are not only really fun, but a great way of keeping our brains active with problem solving and helping us strengthen our fine motor skills.
Sensory equipment has been enjoyed in our 1 to 1 activity sessions, using light, touch and sound to help residents relax, socialise and provide cognitive stimulation.
