Welcome to Parkside

Parkside is highly respected by local professionals and enjoys an excellent reputation.  Working alongside leading experts we have developed to achieve accreditation in specialist areas, including end of life care.

Parkside provides a light and spacious environment, which has been professionally designed to facilitate a high level of care and treatment, within a homely setting.  We focus on providing a holistic and non-discriminatory service, to accommodate each person’s needs and wishes.

Our aim is to encourage a relaxed and welcoming environment that residents regard as their home.  People are actively assisted to maintain their independence and we believe everyone has the right to choice, whether this is in the clothes they wear, the food they eat, or the risks they wish to take in managing their own life. We look beyond any disability to find the person you have always been.

We foster an ‘open door’ approach for residents and their families at all times; ensuring any requests can be met promptly and minimizing anxiety for all concerned.  This helps to make the transition to the care home less traumatic for the individual and their loved ones.

Parkside is well placed in the local community and enjoys active contacts with people coming into the home, as well as the opportunity for residents to maintain their links outside, attending clubs, social events and places of interest.

Our staff

Our specialist teams of qualified nurses and carers offer expertise in a range of clinical disciplines.  We specialise in supporting people with dementias and related health conditions and in particular people nearing end of life. All our staff have received extensive training to maximise the well being of individuals and their families at these difficult times.

To support our clinical services we employ Activities Co-ordinators to run a social and therapeutic activities programme that is aimed at stimulating physical and mental functions, to prevent further deterioration – and to have fun.

The upkeep of the home is the responsibility of our hotel services team, consisting of Cooks, kitchen assistants, housekeeping, domestic and laundry staff, as well as general maintenance personnel.

Our administrative team do an excellent job in supporting the home manager and providing an initial contact for residents and visitors to the home.
